DAILY DOSE OF LITERATURE!
Silver peltage gleamed in the moonlight as the she-wolf stalked the mysteries of the midnight woods. The moon was nearly full, and Luniera gazed up with curious occuli at the night sky. "Dea laudo....omnipotens es....luna dea omnipotens laudo...." she chanted again and again, feeling the power of the moon pulse beneath her paws, and all around her, like a sheer alabaster aura.
Suddenly, her head started to ache, and she stopped in her tracks, bowing her head as she clenched her teeth. But the pain was only existent for a moment, for it dissolved into a warm, familial, comfortable feeling as her star glowed a faint bright white. About twenty feet ahead, near a small trickling stream, a golden figure emerged from the darkness, his fur shining with an inner majesty as he landed gracefully with heavenly paws. He pulled his mouth back in a friendly smile as his amber eyes glittered.
"Fenrir...." Luni breathed, as her paws began to take her closer and closer to the wolf. Approaching him before she knew what she was doing, she embraced him in a loving nuzzle. "Oh, Papa," she whispered. "Salve, cara pater. It has been far too long."
"It has, mi cara." Fenrir gazed down at the fae. "I trust the children are well."
"Oh, yes, they are. Birch has learned how to see with her paws, and now she is my apprentice; Onyx is a scout and your minature has become a proud warrior." She smiled.
"Somehow I thought he would take that path," Fenrir laughed, his angelic baritone barely disturbing the tranquility of the night. "And Onyx will do well as a scout; she has been blessed with the senses of a hawk--Fenrir with the strength of a bear--Birch...with the courage and wit of a true lupe."
Luni grinned, exposing pure-white canines, and bid her father goodbye: "Tibi valere iubeo, cara pater."
"Vale, mi pulcheris lupis puella."
And so, as the golden baron faded away, Luni felt her star emit a surge of pain, and her heart beat faster. She didn't want him to go so soon. With the stars at her back and the terra at her paws, she raced back to camp, where all other lupin were fast asleep.

There's Latin in there, for those of you who don't speak it.

Dea laudo, omnipotens es, luna dea omnipotens laudo = I praise the goddess, you are all-powerful. I praise the all-powerful moon goddess

Salve, cara pater = Greetings, dear father

Mi cara = My dear

Tibi valere iubeo, cara pater = I bid goodbye to you, dear father

Vale, mi pulcheris lupis puella = Goodbye, my beautiful wolf girl

"Ask the tulips," scoffed one tigerlily.
But of all the flowers in the garden Alice did not talk to one tulip... they were too busy cutting themselves and writing sad poetry...
